Stroke is associated with substantial morbidity and mortality. The aim of this review to provide an evidence-based synthesis the literature related perioperative stroke, including its etiology, common risk factors, potential reduction strategies. In addition, authors will discuss screening methods for detection postoperative cerebral ischemia how multidisciplinary collaborations, endovascular interventions, should be considered improve patient outcomes. Lastly, clinical scientific knowledge gaps that need addressed reduce incidence outcomes after stroke.
